Sketchy at Best

Blogging may be treacherous at best for the next little while for poor Rainypete.
The house brick pictured above is the source of all my internet needs as well as woes. While surfing the web yesterday it decided it had enough of the internet and promptly packed it in. The good news is that a replacement is on its way. The bad news is I have to try and find time to blog during a very hectic workday. Might happen, might not.

The poor tech support guy has never had anybody phone in who had a sense of humour or who wasn't screaming his fool head off. Since he's used the usual calibre of callers he really didn't know what to do with me and I exploited his off-balance reaction. As such, I am getting the best modem they have available sent to me for no additional upgrade charge. The guy was thrown for a loop when I was pleasant and explained that I have been through 3 of these wonderfully slow creations in the past 4 years. Good for me was the fact that they don't use them. Better for me was the fact that I gave him a chuckle and treated him nicely.

I wonder if he really thinks it got some kind digital V.D. from porn sites, cyber-syphilis, if you will
