My Grandmother passed away at 12:05am NST on the 28th. Thanks to all for your kind words and support. It's going to be a long week and an even longer weekend.

Oh Pete. I'm so sorry to hear. You and your family and your grandmother are in our prayers. May she finally be at peace and may you all find comfort and peace in her memories and in each other.
I will be thinking of you and yours. It is never an easy time, but time will make it an easier thing to bear. Please let me know if there is anything at all I can do. I hope it helps to think that she is at peace now.

I'm so sorry, Pete. Grandmothers were so important in my life and in the life of my children. I thank God that my children still have one grandmother and one grandfather. Your loss reminds me to make sure my children keep up the relationship with their grandparents. I'll be praying for you..

i have another blog friend whose only grandmother (last grandparent) passed away the same day.

Really sorry to hear that Pete. It's nice though that you thought well of her enough to miss her. I often think of my Grandmother who died several years ago. Did you know that Halloween is a Pagan holiday to remember family who are gone? That, St. Patrick's Day (she was Irish), and her birthday and all the other days that really stand out. But ordinary days too when I just think of something she would have laughed at. :)
So sorry to learn about your loss. May your overwhelming sadness be replaced with nothing but fond and beautiful memories in days, weeks, months and years to come.
